Another Website Live, Another Happy Customer!

For those of you in Kent and the South East, I am sure you would have heard of Betteridge & Milsom – a chartered quantity surveying practice that’s been established for nearly 30 years. We (Angle) and B&M are neighbours at Discovery Park, Sandwich… and that’s how we met! Betteridge & Milsom watched how Angle grew in size and the number of tenants engaged with at DP (over 1/3 of the park!). Discussions began to evolve the B&M brand.

It all started with the vision! As business is nearly 30 years old, with a superb reputation and known to the industry – we didn’t want to lose this! However, with fresh, exciting times ahead it was time for some changes. This was an evolution rather revolution project by understanding the key elements that make up the Bettridge and Milsom brand.

Branding – the Violet/purple Square

We started with the Violet square – this needed to stay. It’s known to many and instantly recognisable on signage as Bettridge and Milsom.

Fonts
We worked on the typeface, ultimately choosing the san serif font, DIN. I personally love this font, it’s clean, precise, very equal and easy to manage from a typographical point of view = perfect for chartered surveyors!

On to the website…
The brief given was to refresh, bring up-to-date with current styles and concentrate on what the user would like to see, showcasing the scope and depth of projects undertaken by B&M.

We worked on producing a website that can be read on any device and therefore, responsive which is an necessity today.
We concentrated on large imagery, easily viewable and navigable to what the user is interested in, but a call-to-action button never too far away, encouraging the viewer to drop B&M a line.

We had to make compromises along the way (from the original concepts) but we worked with the B&M team to ensure the site would ultimately attract the intended target audience. We are all proud of the outcome and feel this newfound online look will go towards helping with new business and the ongoing growth of Betteridge & Milsom.

It was a pleasure to work with team B&M and looking forward to the next project(s).
